Greek Food - Recipe: Cinnamon Cake


  Cinnamon Cake

Ingredients:
3 Teaspoon Baking Powder
2 Teaspoon Brandy
1 Cup Butter
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
4 Whole Egg
1 3/4 Cup Flour
1/2 Cup Milk
1 1/3 Cup Sugar
  Directions:
  • Mix flour with baking powder and cinnamon.
  • Beat the butter well until it becomes white, then add the sugar and the egg yolks.
  • Add the milk, the brandy and the flour.
  • Beat the egg whites to make a tight maringue and add the maringue to the mixture.
  • Butter a cake tin and pour the mixture into it.
  • Bake in moderate oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
